Maybe you could get an embassy job somewhere.
Not just urban planning, land use in general, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), Hydrology (water), Climatology, Meteorlogy, Population Studies, Cartography (map making). There is others I cannot think of at this time, but contact a school with a program in Geography, such as BGSU, Ohio State University, etc. for more information.
Even though I posess a BA in Geography from Bowling Green State University, OH & don’t work in a field related to Geography, I still use my training to do my present job as a truck driver. Observations of weather, land, & water help me to decide if it is a good time to stop or keep going. A person’s accent &/or dress can tell me if they are native to area or migrants. It is fascinating to see how people use land & how land & climate shapes us.
