Question:
I need ideas on physics experiments which are not too basic. preferablly something that includes sound, speed, temperature. Something exciting would also be good as physics can get a bit lame. I suggestion that i have been given is to use presureised water rockets and measure the distance the rocket goes at different pressures, but due to water restriction our bubble burst on that one.

all help will be appreciated.
thanx

Question:
My son will be 6 in March. He attends kindergarten in public school. Recently had meeting with teacher, principal, pt, ot, school psychologist who are all at a loss. They have not ever had a child present his unique set of characteristics. They don’t even know what tests to run/community resources to refer him to. His skills are not consistant. He has consistancy in cognitive abilities that are off the chart (tested to age 8). if you evaluate social skills with peers he scores poor (age 3) if you evaluate with adults scores high. His gross motor skills are very poor (age 3). He is able to participate in phy ed, all of his movements are very deliberate. fine motor skills are there – about average-but done HIS way (i.e. use thumb and ring finger to stack blocks) PT/OT unable to offer a bridge program. Only supplemental activities for us to use at home. He lacks many of the diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder, add, adhd and aspergers.

Question:
Hope you’re having a good day. My physics teacher assigned a sciene experiment; and 2 days from now, we have to have an experiment thought up / picked out. He does not want it to be biologiy related (eg: plant growing one). He wants it to be a physical sciene related one. he gave a few suggestions; which batter brand lasts the longest, which toilet paper brand absorbs the most liquid, does reaction time vary at different times of the day, etc.

I don’t have a lot of resources and don’t want to do anything I can’t test; he said we have to be able to take 3 pictures to prove we are doing the experiment, record reliable and accurate data, and be able to make a graph, pie chart, or something along those lines with the data. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Question:
Not like scrap booking or anything like that. I’m talking like hands on graphic design, things people will buy. Things with beads, string, ribbon, things like that? I’ve done enough scrap booking recently. I’m looking for something creative along those lines.

Any help?
