Question:
I need ideas on physics experiments which are not too basic. preferablly something that includes sound, speed, temperature. Something exciting would also be good as physics can get a bit lame. I suggestion that i have been given is to use presureised water rockets and measure the distance the rocket goes at different pressures, but due to water restriction our bubble burst on that one.

all help will be appreciated.
thanx

Question:
I’m a sophomore in high school but I’m taking A&P next year along with Physics. I’m not /that/ great at science, but I took Bio as a freshman (instead of Earth Science) and Chem now (instead of Bio). Then again, it’s always been my only non-honors class. I’m a strong, well-rounded student but I’m just a little worried about Anatomy since like I said earlier, I’m not AS GOOD at science as I am at say, English or History.

From what I’ve heard, Anatomy is a LOT of memorization but I think I should be okay with that since I’m pretty good at memorizing things. Also it sounds interesting, so that would keep me motivated to do well in the class, but I have friends who are in Bio Honors and have the teacher who is going to teach Anatomy next year, and they all say he’s evil. I’ve even heard from other teachers that he’s very meticulous. Apparently he said Anat is almost as hard as an AP class, but not quite…

What do you think? And also what’s a good Anatomy textbook to use as a resource? Maybe I’ll start looking through one this summer. Anatomy would be my second elective, making that 7 credits next year, so I would be taking two lab sciences next year, as well as French and Spanish 3, AP Lang & Comp, and AP US History. I could always drop A&P since I’m taking way more credits than people normally do, but I feel like if I could push through everything next year I would emerge a stronger student (and, it’d probably look good for colleges, too).

Question:
I’m a girl. I have facial and physical features that are considered very feminine but I have mental traits and interests that are stereotypically masculine-technical and systematic and less touchy-feely. I don’t feel naturally sympathetic. I mean, I act sweet to people and paste a fake grin on my face but I’d rather do stuff like fish, play games, read and do hobbies than sit around and giggle, hold hands and shop at the mall. I just feel like I think more like a guy and they seem more interested in what I have to say. I also like satire and irony which girls don’t seem to get. Girls really don’t seem as interested, if I want to have a deep conversation they just pretend to be interested even though I can tell they’re bored. I’m pursuing majors and minors in Natural Resources, Language, History, and Philosophy whereas most girls seem to want to be nurses, teachers and counselors.

Question:
I’ve taught preschool (4-5 yrs olds) for 10 yrs & was Asst Director of a children’s museum for 5+ yrs on the east coast and am moving to AZ. I totally embrace High Scope and want to continue in this field in some way. I have so much to contribute. What can you tell me?

Question:
I am a high-schooler trying to start a club which will do art projects to help the world. Some possibilities include painting a mural downtown, making cheap gifts for those who can’t afford to buy holiday gifts for their family this year, doing a large photojournalism project on local seniors to document their lives. All I need is a catchy name—any suggestions? I am currently thinking Art4Humanity or Art for the World.
