  1. The video/sound out of sync problem seems to have been fixed. Thank God for that.

  2. @TheRadicalLiberal the queen doesn’t rule England she is mealy symbolical. and a tiny percentage of England is part of the “church of England”.

  3. I think the creationists have conspired to ruin the sound on these videos.

  4. @TheRadicalLiberal yes I do. we as a country a amazingly good at paying lip service to the idea, but when it comes to to it, we fail to put our money where our mouth is.

  5. haha props for mr. dawkins for complimenting wikipedia. I imagine most of the people who talk shit about it are the people who have never even looked at a single entry.

  6. He’s right, you know…independent thinkers are much more difficult to “herd”.

  7. @darkmiles22
I agree. Wikipedia also has an advantage over textbooks in that it can be updated to our current knowledge of the subject.

  8. @PrimaIScream ….You’re so stupid.

  9. You’re so stupid.

  10. @PrimaIScream So, your from Cretin also……..

  11. I don’t see how miscreant can be derived from a country named Cretin, so as funny as you clearly are maybe you should fuck off.

  12. dawkins is from Cretin. Nationality is Miscreant.

  13. I’m so happy Dawkins complimented Wikipedia! I honestly think if I had to choose between Wikipedia and textbooks, I would choose the former. I hate it when people say it’s rubbish because anyone can edit it.

Wikipedia is like science: only those who don’t use it, doubt it.

  14. Actually that’s a bit of a fallacy according to James Loewen. For the most part they simply came here to make a profit from the abundant resources here and some pilgrims seeking religious freedom also came along on the ship. Also if you’re a fan of James Carse you’ll understand when I say this country has very few faithful and far too many believers. It’s not religion or faith that will likely ruin us, it is belief and credulity. When faith becomes belief then theocracy sounds like a good idea.

  15. I’m an American and must agree with you. Many of us have never traveled abroad and have no idea just how WELL so many other countries/governments/cultures work. In fact, I am sad to say, in many regards, we have fallen shamefully behind many other nations (health care, seeing through religion, education, etc.). Thanks for your comment.

  16. I think it goes toward proving the point that he is, as a scientist, willing to experiment and observe the outcome. He didn’t assume his first thought on the matter was true. He made an honest attempt to try his theory and he was surprised to discover a new resource. Another kudo for Richard!

  17. @prostock69 indeed, America is now a theocracy as no athiest could ever be voted into power

One of those facts that is so depressing and hopless I just want to weep

  18. “I’m an atheist with respect to the Judeo-Christian God, because there is not a shred of EVIDENCE in favor of the Judeo-Christian God.”

    ~ Richard Dawkins

…Dawkins, that’s because you have not visited my channel.

  19. Does anyone else find it awesome that Dawkins edited Wikipedia? I think that rules.

  20. Dude I have been telling that to people this whole time. I go crazy whenever people refer to the constitution as the end all be all. It’s like who the fuck cares, what matters is what WE want because we are the ones alive right now. I don’t mean this in a selfish way but a practical way.

I see the constitution as a contract that we did not sign.

  21. Science and reasoning are key, no doubt. Both of which underpin ‘the attempted murder of God’ – A critical book at a critical time, it reveals the secrets of science that comprehensively demolish the theory of Evolution and provides scientific proof for God – a scientific certainty kept hidden from the world that in this critical time in history can now be revealed.

  22. @harlosik13 if examined in any depth communism doesn’t work in theory either

  23. Every modern democracy is a representative democracy. There is very little difference between the US system and for example the parliamentary systems of the world. Take Canada. We vote for representatives at the provincial (state) and federal levels and they decide policy in either proviincial legistatures (State government) or the federal Parliament (Congress). I don’t know why Americans think their system is so different.!

  24. What is even more ironic is people mainly came to the U.S. in order to escape State Religion. And now, our country is more religious than the country our founding fathers wanted to escape from.

  25. good point this video makes… communism in theory works, wikipedia in theory wont work.
