Question:
I want to teach English in Japan, but I am over 40. In an information booklet about JET that I got from the Asian Heritage festival that was held here recently, it said that generaly they are looking for people under 40.
Is there any chance of me getting a job teaching English in Japan?
If so, can you give me any websites or resources?

I’m not quite sure how the Japanese schoolyear goes, but if there is anyplace that would accept me, I would like to start teaching next school year.
These are some details which may or may not be helpful…
Age:40
Gender:Female
I am not a teacher, but I have a Bachelor’s degree(in history), and from what I’ve read it sounds like a Bachelore’s degree in any subject works…

Question:
I am currently teaching English in South Korea
with my fiance. We were looking to teach in Vietnam.

We will have one year of teaching experience in middle school and we
both have our TESOL certificate (100 hours). We are looking to move out
to Vietnam after our contract is finished in late August. Is it really necessary to get a
CELTA? (We prefer not to get it) When we first made the move to Korea
there were countless resources to teach in Korea but we are finding
the process to be a bit challenging for Vietnam. What would be the
best way to go about finding a job out there? How did you go about
finding a job? Would you recommend any good recruiters or people to
talk to? How much would the average teacher makes out in Vietnam?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Question:
Really what I’m hoping to find are sheets/booklets similar to elementary English handwriting pages (where you’re given lines to practice next to an example of what the letter looks like), but ones that show proper brushstrokes of the hiragana alphabet.

If there’s nothing like that, what are some good online materials?
